What is #GivingTuesday?
Have you heard of the new socially recognized holiday that kicks off the charitable season known as Giving Tuesday? It is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. #GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving throughout the year. It harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities. It also brings together the collective power to encourage families, individuals, businesses, and corporations to come together amplifying each small act of kindness. As a global movement, #GivingTuesday unites countries around the world by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, Rhema invites you to join us by using the hashtags #GivingTuesdayand #GivingTueRhema on Facebook to tell your story of #WhyIGave to Christian education. Ask friends and family to spread #GivingTueRhema to people they know too - you never know who will feel called to give at the beginning of this holiday season. Rhema students will begin to see our school's presence expanding beyond our local community and what an impact that can bring.

We also invite you to celebrate Christian education on Giving Tuesday by donating via the link above - the donations received from #GivingTueRhema will be used to help fund our outreach program and to help less fortunate families receive a Christian education here at Rhema Christian School.
Our goal is to raise $5,000 on #GivingTuesday! You can give back by donating electronically at Rhema's website or by mailing a check to Rhema Christian School with a memo note of #GivingTuesday. Giving to Rhema does not have to be limited only to one day - you can be proactive and donate now to ensure you do not miss the big day! Let's come together, spread the word, and give back - setting an example of kindness to our next generation!
