Rhema Christian School

I am thankful to have grown up with loving and supportive parents who have always encouraged me in my faith.  When I was 7, I gave my life to Christ, and I have been striving to live a life that honors the name of Jesus ever since.  Being a born-again Christian is a daily act of taking up my cross and following Him with every aspect of my life.  What a blessing to be at Rhema Christian School where I can share that walk with students every day.  For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a teacher.  I went to a private Christian elementary and high school, much like Rhema, near Philadelphia.  A truly authentic Christian education has always been important to me.  The Lord led me to Geneva College where I got a BS in elementary education, with a reading concentration.  I have a passion and love for science that all started with a great middle school science teacher.  My prayer is that my excitement for God's creation is just as contagious for the students here at Rhema. Every class, we thank God for His intricate design, and we strive to learn more about Him in all we do.
Romans 1:20

In 6th and 7th Grade Science, we will be learning in an integrated science format. Students will complete units in Life, Earth, and Physical Sciences.  The 8th Grade course will include Chemistry, Physical, and some Earth Science, and we will spend a brief amount of time studying Creation as well, in order to prepare them to move onto 9th Grade.  In addition to the Junior High students, children in grades K-5 will learn science in my classroom using a hands-on approach that is consistent with their current studies in their own classes.  In addition, students in grades 5-8 will participate in the annual Science Fair.
