The accelerated reading program encourages children to read books, and earn credit for doing so by earning "points". This list will change every school year, as new books are added each year. We continue to update and improve our selection each year. There is a wide variety of book choices for kids at our school to choose from - that's what makes it "work" for all the students!
The list by grade level is the complete list of accelerated reader books that students can read, then take a test on the school computers to earn points. The tests check their comprehension and understanding of the books they read. Most teachers at Rhema set "goals" for their grade, and many of them have rewards. At the end of the year, we always announce the 8th grader who achieved the most points and the librarien picks a student from the other grades who has read the most books and earned the most points.
