Admissions Guidelines
| 1. | It is a requirement that children admitted to the school must have at least one parent or guardian who has made a personal profession of faith in Christ. |
| 2. | Admission to half-day and full-day Kindergarten (Monday through Friday morning) requires that the student be 5 years of age by September 30 of that academic year. A kindergarten-readiness test will be administered and will be a determining factor in the child’s acceptance into the program. Pre-K requires that the child is 4 years of age by September 30 and Pre-School requires that the child be 3 years old by September 30. |
| 3. | The application form must be completed and returned to the school. In the case of a transfer student, it is the parent’s responsibility to see that a copy of the child’s permanent record be sent to the school. |
| 4. | Admission to Rhema Christian School requires the student to have maintained at least a “C” average (2.0 grade average based on a 4.0 system) during the most recent academic year and grading period. Only under exceptional circumstances will a student whose grade average is below a “C” be considered for admission. This student will be admitted on a probationary basis for one grading period during which the student must attain a “C” average or be dismissed. |
| 5. | It is not the intent of the school to admit students who have recently experienced behavioral or emotional problems in school. |
| 6. | All applicants must show documented proof of required immunization before acceptance can be granted. |
| 7. | Both parents of an applicant will be interviewed except in an unusual circumstance when only one parent or guardian can be present. |
